Yonatan Tiruneh

Yonatan is an Ethiopian-born, Birmingham-raised visual artist. At the moment, his choice of weapon is a DSLR camera and photo editing application. The artwork he creates is his lived experience and a way to understand and cope with the world he resides in. His photo series was created as a response to the Black Lives Matter movement during the first national lockdown in the UK. His photographs were taken in his bedroom, with a DIY studio.
